Vermillion's Lexi Regnerus leaps into the arms of her Tanager teammates after the buzzer sounded Friday night, Feb. 24, in the Vermillion High School gymnasium. It was a moment when a dream for the Tanager team was finally realized – they captured the District 8A championship by defeating the Beresford Watchdogs 51-45. The Tanagers will face Harrisburg in the Region 4A championship tomorrow night, Feb. 28 at Beresford.
