SPEARFISH, S.D. (AP) — Chynna Stevens poured in 27 points and grabbed 13 rebounds as Clark-Willow Lake survived a last-second shot to beat Vermillion 50-47 in overtime Saturday in the seventh-place game at the South Dakota girls Class A basketball tournament.
Vermillion (18-7) had a chance to send the game to a second overtime but missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer.
Stevens had three 3-pointers and made all six of her free throws for Clark-Willow Lake (20-5). Mindy Grensberg and Mackenzie Huber added 10 points apiece.
Val Robinson and Lexi Regernus had 10 points apiece for the Tangers, who shot just 27 percent.
Clark-Willow Lake outscored Vermillion 13-5 from the line.
