Troop 66 placed first and second at a recent Klondike event that took place on Feb. 25 held at Union Grove State Park. The Scouts camped for two nights as the temperature dipped to 8 degrees. In addition, they were required to transport their personnel survival equipment over a three mile distant to eight different stations. At the stations they were tested on skills, which included Fire Starting, Estimating Distance, Orienteering, Bear Bagging, 1st Aid, Scout Trivia, Knots, and a Sled Race. The charter organization for Troop 66 is the United Church of Christ.
