Vermillion track and field athletes competed with their counterparts from schools in Omaha, Sioux City, Sioux Falls and other cities Monday as USD hosted the Class "A" portion of the Dan Lennon high school meet in the DakotaDome.
Colin Olson earned a sixth-place finish in the 400-meter dash in :53.90 seconds. Nick Jensen placed tenth in the shot put with a throw of 47'.
The Tanager girls' 4×400 relay quartet of Paige Olson, Sydney Peters, Abreaunna Raizola and Val Moos circled the track in 4:34.34, good for eighth place in their event.
