Organizers of the Ribs, Rods & Rock 'n Roll will host a Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS) Certified BBQ Judging School on Saturday, April 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Vermillion National Guard Armory. Deadline for registration is Thursday, April 26.
The class will train participants to grade world-class chicken, pulled pork, ribs and brisket. All judging-school participants will be trained by a KCBS representative. Following completion of the class, participants will have earned their judging certification. As certified BBQ judges, individuals need only renew their KCBS memberships to remain in good standing.
Cost for the class is $45 for KCBS members and $75 for non-members. The non-member fee includes a one-year KCBS membership. Anyone interested in joining the KCBS can visit www.kcbs.us.
KCBS instructor for the class will be Sonny Ashford.
