Vermillion High's lady golfers dominated Lennox to the tune of 192 to 258 in a dual at Lennox Monday.
Of the 12 golfers playing in the varsity dual, the Tanagers had the six lowest scores, and the Orioles had the six highest scores.
Allison Heine continued her excellent season as medalist with a 43. Following in order were Kayla Stammer with a 48, Kelly Amundson 50, Kate Brockevelt 51, Elly Miller 52 and Brooke Schwasinger 56. The best Lennox score was Tanner Serr's 59 in seventh place.
The JV portion of the dual also went to the Tanagers 217-264. Audry Miller of VHS had the best score at 49.
Last week at the Dakota Valley Invitational on the Two Rivers course, Vermillion finished fifth among 10 teams with a 384 team score. Parkston easily captured first place at 327, 31 strokes better than runner-up Sioux Falls Christian at 358.
Allison Heine earned seventh place with an 88. Other Tanager scores were Elly Miller's 95, Kelly Amundson's 96, and 105s by Brooke Schwasinger and Kate Brockevelt.
In the JV portion of the tournament Kayla Stammer of VHS earned second place with a 98, only one shot behind the winner, Sadie Meikle of Harrisburg. Other Tanager scores were 108s by Audry Miller and Katie Herrera, 115 by Brooke Moser and 116 by Kyleigh Moran.
Next action for Coach Kirk Hogen's golfers will be the Vermillion Invitational at The Bluffs at 9 a.m. next Friday.
