Vermillion track teams and their competition were weathered out of the Lennox Invitational last Thursday, and that meet has been rescheduled for May 7.
The Tanagers were to return to Lennox yesterday (Thursday) for the Lennox Booster Club Qualifier. Next Thursday VHS competes at the Yankton Quarterback Club Relays at 4 p.m.
Vermillion did compete at the Canton Relays earlier last week, the boys placing seventh among eight teams with 46 points and the girls finishing fourth among eight schools with 89 points. Despite those figures, all of Vermillion's first-places were earned on the boys' side.
Aaron Ruhaak ran to victory in the 400-meter dash in 2:04.5. Nathan Ford won the 3200-meter run in 11:11.0. Will Mart was the discus winner at 150'4". Nick Jensen won in the shot put event at 45'4 1/2".
Dylan Fischbach's times in his wheelchair events were :19.6 in the 100-meter race and 5:11.9 in the 1600-meter event.
