Receives award for excellence

The Department of Theatre and Dance at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa recently presented the Tamara Montgomery Award for Exellence in Theatre for Young Audiences to Jen Dickenson of Vermillion.  Dr. Tamara Montgomery directed the Theatre for Young Audiences program for 40 years and personally presented the award.  Jen Dickenson is the daughter of Ross and Sandy Dickenson of Vermillion and is a 2001 graduate of Vermillion High School and a 2006 graduate of the Univeristy of Minnesota. Dickenson is completing her Masters of Fine Arts at the University of Hawai'i this month and will return to Vermillion this summer to direct "Annie" for the Vermillion Community Theatre.
