On Saturday May 19, Michael Dendinger (VHS Class of 2009) joined his sister Alli (Hensley) Zens (VHS Class of 1993) and her husband Jason Zens in completing the Tough Mudder challenge in Somerset, WI. The Tough Mudder consists of 27 obstacles arranged over a 12 mile course designed by a member of the British Special Forces. The course is designed to test strength, stamina, and teamwork. A portion of the proceeds from the Tough Mudder go toward the Wounded Warrior Project for aiding wounded U.S. military personnel. Zens reports seeing at least five other participants wearing Vermillion, SD shirts (thankfully she saw them before they were covered in mud).
