PIERRE, S.D. – Gov. Dennis Daugaard has asked that all flags in South Dakota be flown at half-staff from 8 a.m. until sunset through Wednesday, July 25, in respect for victims of the mass shooting in Aurora, CO.
"This was a senseless and tragic act," the governor said. "Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims and their families."
President Obama has issued a proclamation ordering flags at half-staff through Wednesday at all public buildings and grounds, and military facilities, out of respect for those who were killed and injured in the attack.
