Two asphalt concrete paving projects are set to begin over the next few weeks in Turner County, according to the South Dakota Department of Transportation.
Asphalt pavement work is scheduled to begin the week of July 9 on state Highway 19A from the intersection of Highway 46 to the intersection of Highway 19 through Centerville.
Asphalt pavement work is scheduled to begin the week of July 16 on Highway 19 from the intersection of Highway 46 to the intersection of Highway 18 eastward through Viborg.
The projects will involve milling of the roadway surface, asphalt pavement overlay, bridge-end guardrail replacement, erosion repair and pipe culvert repair.
Traffic will be maintained through the projects by flaggers and a pilot car. Motorists can expect short delays.
Access to all businesses and residences will be maintained during the road construction in Turner County.
Work is expected to be done by Aug. 10.
The prime contractor for both projects is Duininck, Inc. of Prinsburg, MN.
