The Ironman 70.3 Austin Triathlon was held Sunday October 28th at Walter E Long Park in Austin, Texas. Randy Rasmussen of Vermillion placed 86th in a time of 4:43:40, which was good for a 2nd place age-group finish and qualified him for the World Championship 70.3 Triathlon to be held in Las Vegas, Nevada on September 8, 2013. The race had 1951 finishers and was won by Andy Potts of Colorado Springs, Colorado in a time of 3:51:29.
