Arriola signs with USD tennis

University of South Dakota head tennis coach Malcolm Gilreath is pleased to announce the signing of Marina Arriola of Las Vegas, Nev., to a national letter of intent. Arriola plans to enroll at USD and compete with the Coyotes during the 2013-14 academic year.

Arriola is currently one of the top junior players in Nevada and has been ranked as high as No. 56 in the country. She attends Coronado High School and trains at No Quit Tennis Academy in Las Vegas under the guidance of coach Tim Blenkiron.

In addition to tennis, Arriola is a standout soccer player. From 2007-11, she competed for Neusport FC 94, Las Vegas Surf Soccer Club 94 and Players Soccer Club. Arriola also helped lead Coronado to two league championships.

In the classroom, Arriola is an honor roll student who will graduate with an advanced honors diploma.
