Funeral services were held for Tony Kaiser on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Henning, MN, with Pastor Roger Johnson officiating. The hymns were sung by the congregation, accompanied by Diane Hermanson. The pallbearers were Gary Eckhoff, Keith Eckhoff, Russ Freed, Matt Reinbold, Robert Lohse, and Jeff Weller.
Tony Lee Kaiser was born on March 11, 1955 in Vermillion. His parents are Lyle Kaiser and the late Ella June (Brown) Kaiser. Tony graduated from the Wakonda High School with the class of 1973. On July 18, 1981, Tony was married to Shirlene Cary in Brookings. Their marriage was blessed with a daughter, Theresa. On April 26, 1991 Tony was united in marriage with Nancy Joan Morse at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Henning, MN. Together they made their home in Henning as their marriage was blessed with two children, Zach and MaKenna. Tony enjoyed gardening, farming and previously owned and operated an on-site tractor tire repair company. To help him fulfill his love of sports he had been a basketball and football coach, which he loved, and also a referee. Tony was employed with Otter Tail Dairy Supply, Brogards Plumbing and Heating, and most recently enjoyed farming as he was employed at the Eckhoff Farm. He was an avid sports fan of his children during their school events and also cheered for the Chicago Bears, New York Yankees, and the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
On Jan. 27, 2013 Tony passed away after a long struggle with medical issues at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, MN, at 57 years of age. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Preceding Tony in death were his mother, Ella June; uncle, Douglas Brown; and sister-in-law, Teri Morse.
Tony is survived by his wife, Nancy; two daughters, Theresa and MaKenna; son, Zach; grandson, Adrian; father, Lyle; two sisters: Kimberle (Richard), Nancy (Gary); brothers, Charles (Cindy); parents-in-law, Jim and Wilma Morse; brothers-in-law, Todd (Donna), Mike (Jodi) and David (Barbara); sisters-in-law, Anji (Shawn) and Holly (Jeff); numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and a host of friends.
