Outdoors enthusiasts have an opportunity to participate in a short one-mile run, walk or stroll and help support the Clay-Union Foundation.
The “mentorship mile” event will be held on Sunday, March 31, and will begin at Cottonwood Park at noon, with the registration in the soccer field complex parking lot. Prizes will be awarded to the first three finishers in both men’s and women’s category and includes all ages.
Register prior to noon to participate, and walk-ins are welcome. The event registration is $10, and may be paid on-line or that day.
The running event registration is at http://www.allsportcentral.com/Eventinfo.cfm?EventID=50083.
Registration can be done online, and the day of the event. A meal will be provided for all participants, at 12:30 p.m. and all proceeds from the event will be used to support the local mentoring program, which is in its 16th year in Clay and Union counties.
For more information, contact John Gille at (605) 421-5050 or email@example.com, or e-mail Dusty.Ginsbach@usd.edu.
Meals will also be available after the event to non-participants and the public.
