With the support of the business community, the Vermillion School District, and JA volunteers, the Junior Achievement of Vermillion board is proud to announce that more than 650 Vermillion students were impacted with JA programing during the 2012-2013 school year
During the 2012-2013 school year, more than 190 elementary students were impacted with traditional JA programs, more than 80 eighth-grade students received the JA America Works program, and more than 350 Vermillion High School students participated in the JA Excelling through Ethics program.
Junior Achievement of Vermillion also piloted the JA Titan program in one section at Vermillion High School. JA Titan proved to be a huge success among Vermillion students and will be formally implemented in the Intro to Business class during 2013-2014 school year.
Junior Achievement inspires and prepares young people to succeed in a global economy by bringing role models into classrooms to educate students on financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and work-readiness skills. JA has been offering programs in Vermillion since 2003. JA programs are currently offered in second, fourth, and eighth grades as well as in high school in Vermillion.
Junior Achievement is funded by local businesses and individuals through the annual fund drive. JA does not receive financial support from the United Way or government agencies.
