Krier honored by sportswriters, coaches

Vermillion senior Austin Krier earned recognition among the best 15 players in Class “A” boys basketball on the All-State team chosen by the South Dakota Basketball Coaches Association and the South Dakota Sportswriters Association.
Krier, a 6’2” senior guard, was named to the third team. Bound for Northwestern College in Orange City, IA, to play basketball next school year, Krier averaged 12 points, two rebounds and three assists per game for the Tanagers this past season.
Two other players from within District 8A also were recognized – Elk Point-Jefferson’s Brock Zeller on the first team and Dakota Valley’s Blake Van Ginkel on the second team.
