05/06/13 16:27 – A deputy responded to a report of a grass fire near Bluff Road and 313th St. The deputy provided traffic control while fire units put the fire out.
05/06/13 22:17 – An inmate who was complaining of chest pain was transported by a deputy to the emergency room and then returned to the jail when no problems were found.
05/07/13 08:01 – A deputy observed a vehicle with a non-functioning taillight and brake light. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was informed of the problem.

05/08/13 21:19 – A deputy responded to a report of a cow on the road on 306th St. The deputy got the cow back into a pasture and reported the problem to the owner of the property who fixed the fence.
05/08/13 22:31 – A vehicle was observed pulling a trailer with non-functioning taillights. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was informed of the problem.
05/09/13 17:12 – A rural resident called reporting her son did not return home from school in Wakonda. A deputy investigated and learned he had scouts after school and was there.
05/09/13 21:21 – A 911 call was received from a cell phone owned by a rural resident. The call was returned and a deputy learned that the caller was in Vermillion. She met with the deputy and it was confirmed that she was fine and had accidentally dialed 911.
05/10/13 07:46 – A deputy observed a vehicle traveling on University Road at 80 mph in the 55 mph zone. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was cited for the offense.
￼ 05/10/13 08:06 – A deputy observed a vehicle pass through an intersection without stopping at a stop sign at University Road and 306th Street. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was cited for the offense.
05/10/13 13:21 – A deputy responded to a rural residence to assist with an intervention intended to convince a woman of the need to check into a treatment facility. The woman agreed and voluntarily entered treatment.
05/10/13 13:57 – A deputy responded to a report of a horse out near Gayville. He was able to get the horse back into its pen and secured the gate.
05/10/13 16:49 – A deputy responded to a report of a stray cat scratching and biting some children. The cat seemed fine but arrangements were made to quarantine the cat for observation.
05/10/13 21:19 – A deputy located an unattended fire in a ditch near Wakonda. This was reported to the Wakonda Fire Department, which responded and put the fire out.
05/11/13 02:22 – A deputy assisted the Centerville Ambulance with an emergency medical call in Irene.
