South Dakota Shakespeare Festival offers free arts workshops for youth

The South Dakota Shakespeare Festival is pleased to announce a weekend of free arts workshops for youth and adults to take place Friday, June 14, and Saturday, June 15, at 1-4:30 p.m., in Vermillion.

Workshops will be offered in Improvisation, Playwriting, Costume Crafts, Acting, and Stage Combat, for ages 8-12 and 13-18 at the Warren M. Lee Center for Fine Arts on the USD campus. Elizabethan Dancing will be held in Vermillion’s beautiful Prentis Park, accompanied by live music, on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.

Families, children and adults of all ages are welcome to attend this session.

All workshops are free and require advance registration by e-mailing company@sdshakespearefestival.org.
