With the state tournament suddenly only two weeks away, the Vermillion High boys tennis team faces three more regular-season calendar dates, needing desperately to avoid any more bad weather.
The Tanagers, after playing at Yankton last night (Thursday), are home this afternoon in a 4 p.m. dual against Sioux City East. Next Thursday they go to Sioux Falls Lincoln. The pre-state tourney schedule concludes a week from Saturday in duals in Madison against St. Thomas More and Milbank.
Last week Vermillion fell to Sioux Falls Roosevelt by a 9-0 count. In singles play at No. 1, Will Card lost 6-0, 6-0. David Day at No. 2 dropped his match by 6-1, 6-0.
