All regular season and postseason University of South Dakota football games will be carried live through the Coyote Radio Network, which includes eight stations throughout South Dakota and into Iowa.
Award-winning play-by-play announcer Joe Van Goor returns as the voice of the Coyotes for the 2013 football season. He will be joined by long-time Vermillion High School coach Gary Culver, who will provide commentary.
KVHT 106.3 FM in Yankton serves as the flagship station for the Coyotes. USD fans can also catch the games through these affiliates:

Pregame: The KVHT First Premier Bank Pregame Show hosted by sports director John Thayer will air on the flagship station two hours prior to each kickoff. The Coyote football pregame show with Van Goor and Culver, which can be heard throughout the Coyote Radio Network, will begin one hour prior to kickoff.
About Van Goor: Joe was born and raised in Yankton and began his radio career there in the summer of 1976. His sportscasting career began in 1984. Van Goor was selected Sportscaster of the Year by the South Dakota High School Coaches Association and named South Dakota Sportscaster of the Year in 2006 as selected by his peers by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association. He previously served as the voice of the Coyotes in 1990 and 1991. He rejoined the team in 2012 under a broadcast agreement with Learfield Sports and Five Star Communications.
About Culver: A native of Sioux City, IA, Gary is the all-time winningest coach at Vermillion High School. He led the Tanagers to five state football titles and a 192-129 record in his 36 seasons. Culver also served as an assistant principal and athletic director at Vermillion. Culver is no stranger to football at USD. He led the Coyotes to North Central Conference championship titles in 1972, 1973 and 1974 as a defensive back.
About Thayer: A native of Eustis, NE, and a 2008 graduate of Doane College, John helped launch the Tiger Sports Network during his senior year, which today serves as the broadcast avenue for Doane sports. Thayer spent a year with Victory Sports Network, the NAIA national media source, where he was the play-by-play broadcaster during games across the country. Thayer has covered state basketball tournaments and football playoffs in Nebraska, Colorado and South Dakota. He has also covered NAIA national volleyball and basketball tournaments. Thayer is the current host of “On the John,” a weekday sports talk show that airs from 9-11 a.m.
