First Dakota National Bank held a school supply drive during the month of July to help ensure area children are equipped for the new school year.
First Dakota employees at their 16 locations competed to see who could collect the most items. Community residents were invited to join in the fun and were encouraged to add to the baskets and boxes of supplies. First Dakota extends a huge thank you to area residents who donated supplies.
At the Vermillion location, over 180 items were donated. Items collected included: pocket folders, spiral notebooks, pencils, pens, crayons, markers, Kleenex, three-ring binders, Elmer’s glue, color pencils, glue sticks and rulers.
First Dakota was founded in 1872 and holds the first bank charter issued in all of Dakota Territory. It has 16 full-service banking locations in twelve South Dakota cities. It also has six loan production offices throughout South Dakota and Nebraska.
