Ashley Brunick, CNA, Sanford Care Center Vermillion, was selected as the Sanford Vermillion September 2013 PRIDE Employee of the Month. She has been employed here since August 2011.

Nominations for Brunick included the following:

Personalized Service: When Ashley gives care, it’s done with all her being. Ashley makes sure that I’m dressed for the day and my hair is presentable. She spends time with residents and gets to know them.

Respect: In delicate situations Ashley is very attentive and considerate. She respects the resident’s rights by giving them privacy.

Innovation: Ashley’s always thinking ahead of ways to make me more comfortable. She really knows little things to improve care and safety.

Dedication: Ashley’s cheerful attitude and willingness to help out shows; she enjoys her job. She shows dedication by coming to work on time and coming in on her days off.

Excellence: Her appearance is always nice. She responds quickly to call lights and offers more help if needed. Ashley shows this by knowing things when you have a question.

Additional Comments: Ashley has a willingness to help out in other areas that involve the Care Center… She is a great co-worker, and employee of Sanford Vermillion.

“Ashley always has a smile! She goes the extra mile with all that she does and she puts the residents first every time,” said Gayle Matzke, director of nursing, Sanford Vermillion.

Ashley is a native of Vermillion. She enjoys spending time at the river in her spare time as well as attending USD. Ashley is majoring in health science and psychology with an ultimate goal of being a physician assistant.
