08/25/13 02:41 – A deputy observed a vehicle with license plates that expired in March. The vehicle was stopped and the driver cited for the offense.
08/25/13 20:29 – An inmate in the jail reported a vehicle stolen from him in Norfolk, NE. A deputy took a report and the information will be forwarded to the Norfolk Police Department.
08/25/13 21:52 – A deputy was dispatched along with Gayville fire units to a fire west of Meckling. Upon arrival it was found that it was a controlled fire. The property owner agreed to notify dispatch in the future to prevent unnecessary responses.
08/26/13 12:53 – An inmate was transported to a doctor visit and then returned to the jail.
08/26/13 19:48 – A deputy served a protection order to a woman in Vermillion.
08/27/13 09:44 – A deputy responded to a medical emergency on University Road and assisted the patient until an ambulance arrived.
08/27/13 12:55 – A caller reported a grain cart left on his property. A deputy is investigating to connect it to recent thefts in Clay, Union and Lincoln counties.
08/27/13 16:23 – A deputy and a Vermillion Police officer transported a juvenile to the Juvenile Detention Center in Sioux Falls after she was located in Vermillion and found to be a runaway on probation from Aberdeen.
08/28/13 16:50 – A caller reported a horse on E. Main St. just east of Vermillion. A deputy searched the area but could not locate the horse.
08/29/13 12:51 – An inmate was transported to a doctor visit and then returned to the jail.
08/29/13 18:37 – An inmate was transported from the jail to the State Penitentiary in Sioux Falls after a parole violation.
08/29/13 19:53 – Deputies transported an inmate from the State Penitentiary and another from the Minnehaha County Jail to the Clay County Jail.
08/30/13 07:26 – An inmate was transported to a clinic in Sioux Falls for a psycho-sexual evaluation prior to sentencing. After the evaluation, the inmate was returned to the jail.
08/30/13 13:22 – An inmate was returned to the South Dakota State Penitentiary in Sioux Falls after a court appearance in Clay County.
08/30/13 18:10 – A Wakonda resident reported a stray dog in his neighborhood. A deputy responded and learned the dog may belong to a rural resident. A neighbor took custody of the dog until the owner could be located.
08/31/13 14:52 – A deputy checked on a vehicle parked on the shoulder of Highway 19. The driver was looking for directions, which the deputy provided.
08/31/13 18:28 – A deputy checked on a fire in Burbank and found a property owner had a controlled fire.
