Vermillion wins two over weekend

The Vermillion Tanagers boys’ soccer team scored six runs in each of two victories, beating Hot Springs 6-4 and Custer 6-1 on the road on Friday and Saturday.

Nathan Samudzi scored a hat trick in Friday’s win at Hot Springs. James May, Ethan James and Austin Druin added goals in the victory.

Samudzi and James each scored two goals in Saturday’s win at Custer. Sam Tigert and Tristan Meadows scored the other goals.

Vermillion, 2-1, hosts rematches with both teams this week, Hot Springs on Friday and Custer on Saturday. Both matches will be held at Cotton Park in Vermillion.
