Annabelle Emma (Nelson) Parsons, 89, of Vermillion, died peacefully with her family by her side at the Greene House care facility in Seward, NE, on Oct. 13, 2013.
Funeral services were 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013, at the Hansen Funeral Home in Vermillion, with burial in BluffView Cemetery at Vermillion.
Annabelle was born Dec. 4, 1923, in Hurley, to Charles and Emma (Christensen) Nelson. She grew up in the Hurley area and married her high school sweetheart Allen J. Parsons on Aug. 9, 1941. To this union were born four children.
Survivors include Robert (Sandra), Roger (Laurie), Linda (Earl) Brown Jr., and Rodney; 14 grandchildren, Jeffrey Parsons, Shilea (Parsons) Wolfe, Shelley Parsons, Kimberly (Brown) Nissen, Mark Brown, Ryan Parsons, Michelle Parsons, Paula (Brown) Abbott, Jason Parsons, Tod Brown, Emily (Parsons) Shumaker, Ruth Parsons, Weston Parsons, Alex Parsons; nine great-grandchildren; and one brother, Dennis; and a sister, Hazel.
Annabelle was preceded in death by her beloved husband, and eldest son, Robert; son-in-law, Earl Brown Jr.; and eight brothers and sisters.
