Amy Hertz, Occupational Therapy, Sanford Vermillion, was selected as the Sanford Vermillion October 2013 PRIDE Employee of the Month. She has been employed here since May 1997.

Personalized Service: As an Occupational Therapist, Amy always tailors therapy to the individual in order to make each therapy session as beneficial as possible.
Respect: Amy is respectful to co-workers and patients. She listens to the patients’ wants and works toward that together with the patient.
Innovation: Amy has worked with SESDAC to create new programs/services to help serve those that are supported by them.
Dedication: Amy is always dedicated to our patients. She will go out of the way to help a patient if needed (i.e. deliver adaptive equipment, organize and meet with their caregivers to help the patients thrive with the recommendations given).
Excellence: Amy will research treatment areas to provide the best treatment for the patient (i.e. She researched … a patient’s condition and was able to increase the patient’s satisfaction in daily life).
Additional Comments: Amy is a pleasure to work with and is always a team player. She will go the extra mile to help a patient if needed.

Amy is a native of Tyndall. She and her husband Dave reside in Vermillion. They have three children – Brandon (16),Natalie (14) and Ty (9). Amy enjoys spending time with her family and friends, camping, running and reading.
