Long-time educator and Vermillion School District administrator Mark Upward has informed the Vermillion School District that he will be resigning effective at the end of this school year.
“Mr. Upward plans to retire at the end of this contract year, and he is asking for the final salary payment in June to take advantage of the South Dakota Retirement System,” Superintendent Mark Froke said.
The school board unanimously approved Upward’s resignation at the end of the school year, and his request to participate in the early retirement program for administrators as outlined in Vermillion School District policy.
