On March 17, 2008, Vermillion High School was recognized at the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement Annual Conference in Chicago for maintaining 100 years of continuous accreditation from the NCA CASI.
To earn accreditation, schools must meet NCA CASI's high standards, be evaluated by a team of professionals from outside the school, and implement a continuous school improvement plan focused on increasing student performance. The accreditation process is voluntary and must be renewed each year.
"We are proud of Vermillion High School's tradition of accreditation," stated Angie Koppang, NCA CASI State Director. It demonstrates to parents and the community that they are dedicated to providing students with a quality education and a focus on improving learning for all students. Achieving 100 years of continuous accreditation is an exceptional accomplishment. The staff and school community at Vermillion High School deserve our highest praise for their ongoing pursuit of quality and excellence.
